TONY BURKE is Professor of Christian Origins at York University (Toronto, Canada) and a Senior Fellow of the Centre for Advanced Studies “Beyond Canon” at the University of Regensburg. He is the editor of two critical editions of the Infancy Gospel of Thomas (De infantia Iesu euangelium Thomae graece, Brepols, 2010; and The Infancy Gospel of Thomas in the Syriac Tradition, Gorgias, 2017) and editor of the series New Testament Apocrypha: More Noncanonical Scriptures (Eerdmans, 3 volumes 2017–2023). He has served twice as President of the North American Society for the Study of Christian Apocrypha, for which he co-edits the series Early Christian Apocrypha and oversees the online resource e-Clavis: Christian apocrypha.
