David Eastman (Ph.D. Yale) is the Joseph Glenn Sherrill Chair of Bible at the McCallie School, a Research Fellow at the University of Pretoria, and the Director of Academic Initiatives for the Center for Early African Christianity. His research focuses on later interpretations of the apostles, martyrdom traditions, and early African Christianity. His books include Paul the Martyr, The Ancient Martyrdom Accounts of Peter and Paul, and The Many Deaths of Peter and Paul.
